KEY FOCUS-EXPOSURE and the Intro Single “Whats On Your Mind?”

Whats GOOD everyone?! I wanted to write a blog about the recent moves I’ve been making and wanted to keep everyone updated on the album.  THE ALBUM IS FINISHED…well with recording that is, I have completed the songs that I wanted on the album and no more tracks will be added to it.  I will Post the track list later as soon as figure out the order I want to put them in.  In order to prep for its release I have joined REVERBNATION a great music networking site that will help me connect with more local musicians and fans and add diversity to the way I spread my music.  I uploaded 20 beat productions, most of which are not on my official site.  I thought it would be good way to showcase more of my work for the release of the album.  I also have started to utilize my YOUTUBE account, I will be posting freestyles, beat making videos, and anything else that people would/will want to see.   Along with my FACEBOOK and TWITTER accounts I will be able really push my album “PRIVATE ROAD” online.  I also have posted a full song off the album called “Whats On Your Mind?” its the song playing when you first come to this site, or click here to listen.  Its a great introductory single to who I am and what I’m about. I actually wrote the song and produced the beat back in early March, March was a horrible month for me and I had a lot on my mind, thus the motivation and the rest is history! I think its a great song with a chill beat that a lot of people around me as well as those far way can relate too. Stay tuned for MORE!!

PRIVATE ROAD COMING SOON!!!

Hey everyone, so with recording finished on the album (actually we might have one more to record), I thought it would be good to let you know what to expect from my freshman debut.  The point of Private Road is to showcase all of my talent as a producer.  The ability to be able to create hot tracks, instrumental or song.  So with that in mind the album will be made up of both instrumental tracks and fully recorded songs over beats that I have produced.  I will be featuring on some songs but not all, and will also showcase the talent of artists that I have featuring on the album as well. The title “Private Road” comes from two things. The first being my surroundings, all my life I have grown up around private roads, not knowing what to expect or see. The second is the relation I have with that previous fact and my music.  Most people are coming down my own “Private Road” when listening to this album.  Like I said before its my freshman debut.  Your not going to know what to expect to hear, and its going to be a decision on rather or not you keep driving down it, or turn around and press the eject button.  (I’m sure you will keep driving) (I KNOW you will keep driving) Anyway that’s where the title derives from.  I am featuring a select few of artists to also feature on the album.  I currently have 3 artists on the album and possibly 4 if we decided to record one last song.   I thought it was good to have other artists on the album as well because 1.they can really murder a track and 2. im not a rapper ….so with that said if I decided to do the whole album myself, it would of been a bad idea because its not my strength.  I can do hooks and spit a hot 16 but its rare that I do a whole song solo (i have 2 solo songs on the album) So the other artists I brought in on the project really enhance the album and complete it. Shout outs to kris Prada D Money aka pun resurrected and POP !! I also will be featuring instrumentals as well. These productions were made specially for “Private Road” and are some of my best work.  I liked to include a mix of all of my beats so some will be hard, others will be soft, some will be chill, others will be tense you get the idea. So the combination of the two is classic. Private Road is set to release at the end of June…look out for that heat!

2010 is HERE!

Now that my official site has launched and its the New Year I thought it would be a good idea to tell you what Jay O Productions has planned for 2010.  Recently I just completed a “Focus Week” basically I cut myself away from all distractions and worries.  I completely isolated and secluded myself for a week to have a clear head and to create a game plan on where I wanted to go with my company and how I was going to get there.  2010 is the year of discipline for Jay O Productions. Here is what I got done…

• Two new beats are ready for sale and recording The top two beats “Unexpected” & “I Like that” in the player are the newest productions…(It usually takes me a week to make a beat I’m satisfied with so two in one week is a bonus)

• Finished recording a song for my album/mix tape “Private Road” (The song is called “What would I do?” this one is for the ladies…Hear the instrumental above)

• Gained some new networks – (was able to talk to two new artists and set up some future studio time with Jay O Productions)

• Set goals as far as sales and productions for each month

The Focus Week allowed me to clear my head for 2010 and really focus on my company as well as lay some foundation on what I wanted to accomplish this year.  My Top Goals for 2010 and Jay O Productions are

• Sell at least 2 beats (productions) a month for 2010
• Finish and release my album/mix tape “ Private Road”
• Work with a whole new selection of artists, and producers
• Produce another artist’s album or receive placements on their album.
• 1 new blog post a week, (rather it be on music, tech, or something random I will be keeping all of you posted more frequently)

This year is going to be a great year for Jay O Productions and I plan on accomplishing everything mentioned and more stay tuned for greatness….be sure to check out the site if this is your first time visiting.
