Jay O Productions 2011 Update…Black Ties, Growth, and Showcase

With 2011 well underway, I thought it would be a good idea to let all of you in on what my plans are for the year, my goals to be accomplished, and what projects I plan to start and complete by the year end. 2010 was a great year growth wise,  I was able to complete and release my first production as a producer, my album “Private Road” which is a huge accomplishment as far as the learning and knowledge I gained through the process. You can hear it here. I also was able to land an internship with music producer ELITE. Elite has produced for heavy hitters for years, including Jada Kiss “Shoot Outs” and J.Cole “Who Dat” to name a few. Working for him has been a great experience, he has taken me to studio sessions with J. Cole, allowed me to sit in on his individual sessions, and given me insight on the music business and what it takes to make it. I can honestly say my productions have taken a huge step forward due to what I’ve learned. Check him out @ www.ELITETHATSME.com I also completed my first beat collection, “L Ride Music”. 2011 is a big year for me. I have many goals and aspirations I want to accomplish this year, and I have started off to a great start. First I’ll be dropping an all new beat collection March 7th. The name of the beat collection is “The Black Tie Collection”. It will be 10 all new beats with a different sound than the previous “L Ride Music”. I’m excited to release this new collection to the masses and hope to draw some more attention/buzz from it.  I also plan to register Jay O Productions as an LLC, and actually  take my business ventures with my music to the next level. I have plans to increase my fan base, work with a better network of clientele, and with hard work paying off, get my first official placement on a mix-tape or album.

The I Standard Producer Showcase, is regarded by many as a top level showcase for aspiring and unknown producers. It allows the producer to get a great amount of exposure and networking opportunities through them. I was picked out of 150 other producers to showcase my beats for their upcoming NYC showcase in march.

The Show is a two day event, the night I perform is on Wednesday March 9th @ 9:30 pm. If you can make it out to support it will be greatly appreciated. I want to make sure that I have a good crowd rockin with me for the event. I have 20 tickets to give away to anyone who wants to come so let me know and ill make sure to save you a pair.

This year is taking off the way I hoped it would, my buzz locally as a producer is getting louder, more people are hearing my name and my music, with a positive response. I have been working with new artists and working on the craft everyday. I look forward to what of 2011 has to offer and will continue to strive for excellence and success. Jay O Pro Presents L Ride Music…Collection 1

With my album Private Road completed and released (Thank you for your support), its time to move on to bigger and better things.  Until my next big project comes along I will be producing  collections of beats.  Each Collection or Volume will have a theme and contain the newest beats to date from me.  This will allow me to focus on my craft and direction with my music and really give a purpose to the beats that I produce.  The L Ride Music (L.R.M) collection contains 9 all new beats with a brand new sound post Private Road. L Ride Music is smooth, relaxed, and laid back.  Not to say that every track makes you want to fall asleep, but rather each beat contains a familiarity that keeps the mood at ease with the excitement. I have taken a very different approach to how produce my music since completing Private Road and I can honestly say that I have grown as a producer/beat maker since then and my beats are bigger and better than before.  I am very happy to showcase this first collection of beats so click the picture above and get ready for L RIDE MUSIC!
